Taylor Swift “made the whole place shimmer” at the Grammys on Sunday night, shimmering in a massive set of Lorraine Schwartz gems that allegedly cost about $3 million. The gems made for a spectacular red carpet ensemble, especially when coupled with a bejeweled midnight blue Robert Cavalli outfit, a clear nod to her latest album “Midnights.”
Swift’s earrings, however, were the night’s focal point. Lorraine Schwartz’s striking dangling earrings include over 136 carats of genuine purple sapphires, paraibas, and diamonds, according to a press release. The “Bejeweled” singer served up her trademark Swift splendor, which she was able to show off from her front row perch while dancing along to the jam-packed lineup of performances, along with her sapphire and diamond rings.
On Sunday night, the 11-time Grammy winner won best music video for “All Too Well: The Short Film,” becoming the first person to win the category with sole directorial credit for their own music video. While she did not accept the Oscar on stage, her video co-producer Saul Germaine did, thanking Swift and the short film’s stars, Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien.
It’s not the first time the pop artist has shattered records at the ceremony. In 2021, she became the first female artist to win album of the year three times, with her win for “Folklore.” (She has already won for “Fearless” and “1989.”)
