On Thursday in New York City, Sophie Turner spent the evening with Taylor Swift, the ex-girlfriend of her estranged husband Joe Jonas.

The excursion, which is Sophie’s second with Taylor this week, occurs while the Game of Thrones actress, 27, and Joe, 34, are embroiled in a contentious custody battle; she is now suing Joe in an effort to get their girls returned to the UK.

However, Sophie appeared unconcerned when she arrived just a few seconds before Taylor outside the opulent Hotel Barriere Fouquet for dinner.

She was seen in pictures holding a brightly quilted Louis Vuitton bag in front of her face.

The blonde beauty, who married Joe in 2019, wore a white T-shirt, a gray maxi skirt, and red satin ballerina flats for a more laid-back look.

She brought a group of her closest friends into the restaurant.

A few minutes later, Taylor and two sharply dressed security personnel arrived in a black SUV driven by a driver.

The singer, who famously dated Joe from July 2008 until their breakup in October the same year, looked incredibly stylish in a tight black off-the-shoulder shirt.

It was tucked into a pair of light brown pants that she had fastened a black leather belt on at the waist.

She walked down the sidewalk wearing a black expensive purse and carrying her necessities.

Taylor and Sophie had partied until two in the morning two nights prior while enjoying a quiet supper at Via Carota.

In addition, the two blondes indulged in “martinis and caviar bumps” at the hipster hangout Temple Bar.

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, it ‘cheered [Sophie] up’ and she liked everything returning to normal.

‘They were normal. Completely normal. Everyone was all excited, but they were normal,’ an insider recalled, adding: ‘Sophie seemed to be enjoying the night.’

Another continued: ‘Taylor is a great friend — Sophie can talk to her about anything. It cheered Sophie up to spend time with Taylor.’

Earlier Thursday, Sophie stepped out with her and Joe’s daughter Willa – after accusing her ex of ‘abducting’ their kids and blindsiding her with his divorce filing in explosive court documents.

Sophie looked happy to be stepping out with her eldest daughter, three, amid her increasingly acrimonious split from the Jonas Brothers rocker, 34, after she claimed he lied in court documents and said a birthday row sparked the end of their marriage.

Joe accused his estranged wife of ‘lying’ in her filing and clarified that their ‘children were not abducted,’ after she petitioned to have them return to the UK.

Sophie filed documents in US District Court for New York to petition for ‘the return of children to England,’ her home country.

Phase two! Earlier this week, Taylor and Sophie had a quiet supper at Via Carota while partying till 2AM.

The hangout ‘cheered [Sophie] up’ despite her marital issues, a source told PEOPLE.

Earlier this month, Jonas filed for divorce from the actress.

Willa and D.J., the couple’s twin children, are one. They were married in 2019.

Turner said in documents obtained by DailyMail.com that Jonas had withheld the kids’ passports, thereby barring them from returning to the UK.

She claims in the document that the former couple met on September 17 to talk about a trip to the UK with her kids scheduled for September 20; however, Jonas reportedly refused to turn over the passports or take the kids to the UK on his own.

According to the filing, “the Mother has submitted her Hague Convention Application for Return to the Central Authority for England & Wales seeking the return of the children to England on September 20, 2023 based on the Father’s express statements that he will not return the children to England and will not return the children’s passports to the Mother.”

She continued by saying that the pair had apparently intended to spend a significant lot of time in the UK in the near future, so their relocation there was not entirely unexpected.

Turner said that she and the kids had anticipated traveling with Jonas on his Jonas Brothers’ US tour, and that once it was over, the entire family had intended to go to the UK and settle in a rental home close to her parents’ house.

She asserted that the relocation was a step toward a full-time existence in the UK and that the pair had decided to do so as their oldest kid, Willa, was ready to start school.

The X-Men actress said that she and Jonas explored homes from December 2022 until July of this year, when they ‘both agreed they would acquire the property for the family’s permanent home.’ They then found a ‘lovely country property’ in Oxfordshire.

According to reports, they agreed to a purchase agreement for the home in July and intended to close the deal in December of this year.

Turner and Jonas paid $11 million for their Miami property, which they then listed for sale.

After lowering the asking price by $2 million, they eventually sold the property in August for a profit of $15 million, which may have been an attempt to move it swiftly.

Turner also refuted Jonas’ assertion in his divorce file that their kids had lived in Florida for six months, which would facilitate a Florida court’s decision on custody issues.

She seems to claim that a fight on August 15 served as a major catalyst for their split, and that following this the couple ‘with some hesitation’ consented to have the kids travel to the US to join their father on tour because Jonas could watch them during the day on the dates when he was performing.
