The NFL star might have gotten some fashion ideas from his purported new romantic interest.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are making another big impact, and we’ll admit that the reason for this viral moment is a little strange.’

On Monday, Oct. 9, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end posted a sequence of elegant images on his Instagram account in which he departed the field and boarded an aircraft wearing a loose white button-up and velour orange-brown slacks.

Some of his rumored girlfriend’s followers remarked that the trousers looked suspiciously similar to a set of velvet curtains used as a backdrop in her “Midnights Mayhem With Me” video series, in which she gradually disclosed the track names of her 10th studio album.

Swift was surrounded by a deep brown set of velvet drapes in each film, the first of which was uploaded almost a year ago, which Swifties felt had been made into—or at least inspired—the NFL star’s latest appearance.

“It’s the Midnights pants for me,” one wrote, while another said, “I SEE YOU WITH THOSE ‘MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT’ PANTS 👀.”

“We’re Taylor’s curtains huh,” someone else commented, with another joking, “Why is he wearing mother’s curtains 😭.”

“What is that… velvet ?!?! 🤙🏽,” Fox Sports’ Charissa Thompson wanted to know.

Kelce, who plainly chose them for their softness, responded, “no idea but they’re as comfy as they look!!”

There are no Easter eggs to be seen here, but the connection between his current ‘fit and her social media video set’s decor is undeniable.
