According to reports, the goalie is set to leave for a cost of £46 million, including add-ons.

Onana is also expected to sign a five-year deal with the club.

And, according to talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor believes the Cameroon international has the potential to be a massive signing for United.

“He’s (De Gea) not the goalkeeper whose going to take Manchester United on to winning Premier League titles,” he said.

“Onana I really like, very good on the ball, good shot-stopper.

“I watched him for Inter. Top top goalkeeper and United really need one.”
