Boxing fans were amused by Laura Woods’s witty response to rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo was being jeered in Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the contentious victory of Tyson Fury over Francis Ngannou, the renowned radio and television presenter was in front of the camera. Woods had a hectic evening because, during the undercard bouts, the TNT Sports feed abruptly stopped working. She had to handle a small crisis.

After almost thirty minutes, that disaster was averted, and she resumed her best presenting style. The boxing community was left smiling by her reaction to Ronaldo being made fun of by some fans. 

The Boulevard Hall stadium in Riyadh was filled with a loud chorus of jeers and boos as Ronaldo started to take his seat. Given that Ronaldo plays football for the dominant Al-Nassr team in the Saudi Pro League, this came as a bit of a surprise.

When the camera first focused on Oleksandr Usyk, there were boos, which caused the stadium to cheer loudly. The applause appeared to give way to jeers as the attention returned to Ronaldo.

Ronaldo had starred for the team in a 3-1 victory over Al-Fayha before he arrived at the arena. Woods said of the Real Madrid icon, who appeared shocked by the response, “He didn’t look happy.” There will be a firing of the director.”
