Bukayo Saka placed 24th and Martin Odegaard placed 28th in the voting for the 2023 Ballon d’Or, while Aaron Ramsdale achieved an impressive 8th position in the race for the Yashin Trophy.

 

Both Martin and Bukayo earned their first-ever nominations for the esteemed me𝚗‘s award, which has been presented since 1956, due to their exceptional performances that played a pivotal role in our pursuit of a Premier League title during the 2022/23 season.

Similarly, Aaron received his first nomination for the prestigious title of the world’s best goalkeeper, thanks to his remarkable contributions between the posts throughout the same campaign.

However, when the votes of journalists from the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings were tallied, Lionel Messi once again emerged as the winner of the Ballon d’Or, securing the title for the eighth time in his career after achieving his first World Cup victory last winter. Erling Haaland claimed the second position, while Kylian Mbappe finished third.

 

Former Gunner Emiliano Martinez was presented with the Yashin Trophy for his outstanding performances in helping Argentina secure their third global championship through a tҺrilling penalty shootout against France in Qatar. Ederson secured the second position, with Yassin Bounou coming in third.
