The superfan has an impressive collection of models, some of which are quite desirable.

Three of them have world records, and they were recently reunited in their hometown.

Many Bugatti purchasers begin their adventure in the same location, an opulent château in France near Molsheim where Ettore Bugatti first began producing his renowned vehicles.

The Château Saint-Jean welcomes visitors to the expansive estate, and it is here, in front of this great French castle, that new owners will view their vehicles for the first time.

Around the back lies the atelier, where approximately 70 Bugattis are handcrafted each year.

One Bugatti buyer has always wished to bring together a handful of his purchases right here, at their birthplace.

And his very specific ambition was recently realised.

Each of the three vehicles he chose (because, yes, he has that many Bugattis) holds a world record.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

This is the first production series automobile to reach speeds of more than 300 mph.

Andy Wallace, one of the manufacturer’s test drivers, drove it.

Wallace travelled to Molsheim particularly for the reunion, eager to meet the owner of his record-breaking automobile.

Veyron 16.4 Super Sport

This Veyron set the record for the fastest production automobile in June 2010, achieving speeds of 267mph.

Only 30 of these models were ever made, making this purchase extremely valuable.

Pierre-Henri Raphanel, the driver who set the record, also stopped by to meet the collector.

Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

The customer’s Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse was the third car to return to France.

This was another limited edition, with only 92 made.

This Veyron is the world’s fastest open-top automobile, reaching 254 mph with the roof down.

Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti’s design director, signed all three cars to mark the occasion.

Each note stated, ‘in record-breaking friendship’.

With a product line that includes a hookah, sunglasses and an extremely costly egg, perhaps the company should start creating friendship bracelets as well.
