Villa of your dreams hidden away in the Raja Ampat archipelago

Discover our overwater bungalows in Raja Ampat! They combine traditional Papuan charm with the convenience of modern design elements. We created them with local, natural materials gathered from nearby villages. The walls, for example, are formed of Daun Bobo, and the roofs are made of Daun Nipa. Iron wood is used for the floors, as well as the window and door frames. These are the typical building materials used by Papuans.

How it all began

The building of our 15 Papua Explorers overwater bungalows began as a communal endeavour. As a result, we commissioned it straight to several households in our neighbour community. As a result, revenue was spread to a larger population inside the community. Each department appointed one trade professional as well as two village apprentices. The model had a high success rate. So we have many senior workers who used to be fisherman and are now earning considerably greater wages in various sustainable vocations and crafts.

Amenities

All of our overwater bungalows in Raja Ampat are constructed on the water. They have an en-suite toilet and shower, hot water, a ceiling fan, a mosquito net, a working desk, and a pleasant lounge space. Our visitors may enjoy the sun and sea in their own solitude thanks to the big veranda with direct access to the shore. Sunloungers and a hammock also beckon you to linger and take in the spectacular sunsets of Raja Ampat. Furthermore, a stairway that leads directly into the ocean makes it simple to cool off.

There are plenty of towels available, as well as environmentally safe natural shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and soap.

There are also tea and coffee making facilities, drinking water, and a room safe. We also have 220 V power available 24 hours a day, with European plugs.
