This accolade marks Tomiyasu’s first monthly prize since September 2021, and it is well-deserved for his contributions in maintaining Arsenal’s undefeated record in the Premier League and securing the top spot in their Champions League group at the halfway stage. Tomiyasu played the full 180 minutes in Arsenal’s two European matches in Lens and Seville. His solid performance in Spain contributed to an important victory. However, it was his impact as a substitute in the Premier League that truly stood out.

In a crucial match against Manchester City, Tomiyasu’s introduction in the final 15 minutes played a vital role in Gabriel Martinelli’s late-winning goal, as he pushed forward aggressively. He showcased his influence once again when brought on at halftime against Chelsea, helping Arsenal recover from a 2-0 deficit to secure a late point. To cap off a fantastic month, Tomiyasu scored his first goal for Arsenal in the dying moments of their 5-0 triumph over Sheffield United, coinciding with his 50th Premier League appearance.
