Zendaya’s longtime friend and stylist Law Roach recently addressed rumors about his “retirement” and clarified his ongoing collaboration with the Hollywood actress. In an interview with ET at the CFDA Fashion Awards, Roach emphasized that he could never fully quit working with Zendaya, whom he affectionately referred to as his “sister.”
While Roach announced his departure from the fashion industry in March, he explained that he still maintains a creative director role rather than a traditional stylist position with Zendaya. He further disclosed that he currently does not have any other clients apart from the talented star of “Euphoria.”
Regarding their future collaborations, Roach did not provide specific details but suggested that fans would have to wait until after the resolution of the ongoing Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike. He expressed hope that the strike would conclude with fair and generous outcomes for hardworking actors. Roach mentioned that Zendaya has two major films, “Challengers” and “Dune Part Two,” which had their premieres postponed due to the strike.
Roach clarified that he and Zendaya have not been holding onto designs or outfits for future use, but they will resume their work when the actors receive what they deserve. Despite his retirement announcement on Instagram, where he expressed frustration with the industry’s politics and false narratives, Roach assured his followers that he would continue working with Zendaya indefinitely. He emphasized their genuine bond of love and support, distinguishing it from the superficial relationships often found in the entertainment industry.
