Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Martin Odegaard’s fitness ahead of the team’s UEFA Champions League clаsh with Sevilla. Odegaard, who missed the recent match against Newcastle United due to a hip ιnjury, has been recovering and hasn’t played since the Carabao Cup loss to West Ham United.
There is hope that Odegaard may be available for Wednesday night’s game, but Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of him making an appearance. In addition, Arteta confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will not be fit for the match, as he is dealing with a hamstring issue that could keep him out for several weeks, with a potential return in December.
Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey are also expected to miss the game. Smith Rowe suffered a knee ιnjury before the Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham, and the duration of his absence is yet to be determined.
As the match approaches, Arsenal will continue to monitor the fitness of Odegaard and assess his availability for the important Champions League fixture against Sevilla.
