In a surprising turn of events, Burnley managed to equalize with a deflected effort from Josh Brownhill, nullifying Leandro Trossard’s header just before halftime. However, it was Oleksandr Zinchenko’s stunning goal that ultimately sealed the victory for Arsenal, pushing them up to second place in the Premier League standings.

Leandro Trossard played a crucial role in driving Arsenal forward, scoring the opening goal. However, Burnley quickly equalized through a deflected shot by Josh Brownhill. The Gunners regained the lead thanks to William Saliba’s swift response, and it was then that Oleksandr Zinchenko unleashed a powerful left-footed strike that left no room for debate.

Although Arsenal did not display their best performance, they managed to overcome a determined yet limited Burnley side, who were let down twice by goalkeeper James Trafford. Late in the game, Gunners substitute Fabio Vieira was sent off for a foul on Brownhill.

Despite Mikel Arteta’s frustrations with VAR decisions earlier in the week, Arsenal ended the match on a positive note. Both Saliba and Koleosho played a part in Burnley’s equalizer, with Koleosho overpowering Takehiro Tomiyasu and Brownhill’s shot deflecting off Saliba and beating a wrong-footed Raya. A VAR check confirmed that there was no foul by Koleosho, and the goal stood.

Saliba quickly redeemed himself by heading home Trossard’s corner from close range, taking advantage of Trafford’s weak attempt to keep the ball out after saving a Gabriel Martinelli effort.
