To solve this predicament, the Barbadian superstar splurged $21 million to purchаse a penthouse on the 40th floor of The Century, occupying the entire level.

Rihanna negotiated a significant reduction from the original asking price of $28 million, leveraging L.A.’s mansion tax, and sealed the deal on March 31, just a day before the new tax went into effect. This move saved her from owing an additional $1.1 million in taxes if the purchаse had been completed in April.

The penthouse impresses visitors with its floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, providing panoramic views of the city skyline. Stepping off the private elevator, guests are greeted by an entrance gallery that leads to the dining area with dark brown hardwood floors seamlessly flowing into the all-white kitchen featuring marble countertops, two islands, and high-end appliances.

The property also boasts a soundproof movie theater with velour couches, a master suite with a curved bedroom, two custom closets, two bathrooms, and a separate lounge. However, the most remarkable features are the penthouse’s four distinct outdoor terraces facing different directions, offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, the San Gabriel mountains, and even snow-capped Mount Baldy.

While Rihanna pays a hefty monthly HOA fee of $8,814 for her penthouse, she gains access to an array of top-notch amenities at The Century. These include four deeded parking spaces, a 24-hour concierge, security guards, an outdoor pool, lush gardens, on-site storage, an on-site restaurant, conference rooms, and much more.
