Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is facing a dilemma as he prepares to travel to Brazil for international duty despite being injured. The 26-year-old sustained a knock during Arsenal’s Champions League match against Sevilla last month, and the Gunners expect him to be out of action until December to avoid worsening his hamstring issue.

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, is reportedly frustrated with the situation. He recently revealed that Jesus is far from being ready to train or play. Arteta expressed his intention to discuss the matter with the club’s medical staff and the player himself, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the player’s well-being.

Despite the concerns surrounding his fitness, Jesus has been called up to the Brazil national team for two upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Brazil officials are keen to assess his condition and have requested that Fernando Diniz and his medical team evaluate him upon his arrival. If they determine that Jesus is not fit enough to play, he may be excluded from the squad and forced to return to London, covering a distance of approximately 5,000 miles.

Diniz, discussing the squad selection, stated that they would bring Jesus in to assess his actual fitness level, as they believe he has the potential to recover in time to participate. However, Diniz also noted that they have a list of 24 players, and in the event that Jesus is unable to join the team, they will not need to make any changes to the squad.

In Arsenal’s recent Premier League match against Burnley, Jesus was absent from the squad as the Gunners secured a comfortable 3-1 victory. Throughout the season, Jesus has been limited to just seven Premier League appearances due to various injuries, hampering his ability to contribute consistently on the field.
