Having a private jet as a billionaire is probably not a big issue. But Kim Kardashian, the founder of Skims, has taken the lavish method of transportation to a whole new level, and the world watched in astonishment as she demonstrated it in a recent episode of The Kardashians.
She explained why it’s more unique than her competitors’, and how the plane is supposed to be from the same spot Amazon founder Jeff Bezos purchased his – reportedly for more money.

Better than Bezos?
The color scheme of the jet has been customized to match Kim Kardashian’s residence. Gulfstream PhotoKardashian owns a Gulfstream, the same brand that the world’s wealthiest billionaires, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, chose to travel in. The TV star’s G65OER model is an expanded version of the G65O and is estimated to be valued US$95 million, which is US$25 million more than Bezos’ own aircraft. The jet is now reputedly worth $150 million after all customizations.The plane can fly at a maximum speed of 616 knots or 709mph (1,141km/h) and a cruising speed of 516 knots or 594mph (955km/h) thanks to twin Rolls-Royce BR725 A1-12 engines. The aircraft, which is stationed in California, has a range of 7,500 nautical miles (8,630 miles/13,890 kilometers).

Kardashian reportedly bought the plane – which she affectionately dubs Kim Air – in February. She’s not the only member of the Kardashian-Jenners with their own jet – Kylie Jenner bought one in 2020, but it’s only worth US$72.8 million.

Kardashian and all her guests can stay connected on long journeys as she says “every seat has its own phone charger”.
“We have two beds in the back, but this can all come out as one king bed,” the Skkn by Kim founder told her boyfriend Pete Davidson on her reality show The Kardashians. “It’s really cute. It’s, like, so perfect.” Otherwise the aircraft – designed by Tommy Clements and Waldo Fernandez – has 10 sleepers for travellers in need of a quick nap.
The interior is super luxurious

The area is decorated in elegant light wood and has two bathrooms. Kardashian made a point of mentioning how she moved in the opposite direction of a plane’s usual darker appearance.

For the time being, she did not want passengers to wear shoes and remarked during her on-camera jet tour, “Don’t breathe, don’t touch a thing.”
