Kate Winslet Opens Up About Uncomfortable Experience Filming “Revolutionary Road” with Leonardo DiCaprio. In an interview with The Mirror, Kate Winslet reflected on her “uncomfortable” experience while working on the film “Revolutionary Road” alongside co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. The reason behind the discomfort was that she had to film a “steаmy scene” with Leo while her then-husband, Sam Mendes, directed the film.

“It was uncomfortable because my husband was right there. It was a bit tricky,” the actress admitted.

Despite the awkwardness, her co-star Leo had nothing but praise for Kate Winslet. The male actor confidently stated that the 1975-born star was an incredibly professional actress, which allowed them to successfully film the scene without consuming too much time.

“We’ve always been looking for a project to do together. It just felt very natural. She’s my best friend,” Leo praised his co-star at that time.

“We can push each other and go to great lengths together,” Leo continued, “Because the reality is that we’ve been good friends for many years, and that’s an advantage. There’s a certain level of comfort between us, and we challenge each other as actors.”

Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio first acted together in the iconic film “Titanic.” Since then, they have remained close friends and supported each other in their acting careers.
