This magnificent yacht concept is redefining luxury

Domus trimaran yacht concept

Rob Doyle and Van Geest

The Domus trimaran boat concept is breaking new ground in the world of luxury charters.

It’s not only extremely luxurious, but it’s also been created with performance in mind.

The architecture of the boat concept decreases drag and enhances speed for a comfortable, low-roll cruise.

On top of that, the designers designed a stunning, luxurious passenger compartment.

The yacht concept was christened “Domus” by its designers, Rob Doyle Design and Van Geest Design.

A Latin term that refers to a single-story house built around an atrium.

The boat concept incorporates the concept of openness into its revolutionary design to generate an unrivaled sense of airiness.

The 40m yacht idea also has two decks spread across 783 square meters.

When it comes to the visitor experience, nothing has been left to chance.

The yacht concept has four VIP guest cabins and two owner’s suites, each with its own lounge area.

When guests aren’t lounging in seclusion, they may take use of the on-board amenities, which include a movie, gym, and bar.

Furthermore, when guests wish to unwind, they can do so at Domus’ spa and swimming pool.

The furnishings are designed to allow guests to take in the landscape while remaining connected to life onboard.

Domus’ aim is to be the first fully zero-emission yacht weighing over 750 gross tonnes.

“The uniquely designed combination of solar power, hydro-regeneration technology and hydrogen fuel cells gives Domus unlimited range with zero emissions,” the design team told Boat International.

“An optimised system of solar power and battery storage allows the yacht to motor during daylight hours and then transfer over to the battery system at night. This also means that Domus is fully silent with zero emissions while at anchor.”
