Gabriel’s Reaction on Brazil Duty Delights Arsenal Fans, Proclaiming Him as “My Centre-Back”

Arsenal and their manager, Mikel Arteta, were furious following their recent 1-0 defeat to Newcastle due to a series of contentious decisions. The Gunners felt aggrieved by the outcome of the match, as they believed they were on the receiving end of multiple disputed calls. The frustration stemmed from the belief that certain incidents during the game were not correctly adjudicated, leading to their defeat.

Arsenal believe that Joelinton fouled Gabriel in the build up to the Newcastle winning goal this month

Mikel Arteta raised objections to Anthony Gordon’s goal, expressing doubts about the ball going out of play in the lead-up to the goal. Stockley Park, where the VAR officials reviewed the incident, examined several replays to determine whether the ball had crossed the line before Joe Willock regained possession. However, due to the lack of a clear angle, a conclusive decision couldn’t be reached, and the on-field referee’s original call stood.

Following Willock’s cross, a tussle between Joelinton and Gabriel Magalhaes occurred, which Arteta believed should have been called as a foul. Despite Arteta’s protest, the goal stood as Gordon, who was deemed to be onside, struck the ball into the net.

Despite Howard Webb’s revelation on the program “Match Officials Mic’d Up” that both Kai Havertz and Bruno Guimaraes should have been sent off, as previously stated by the Premier League’s Key Match Incident Panel, players from both teams have come together for international duty.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli have joined forces with Newcastle’s Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes for the Brazilian national team. This collaboration occurred as the players left their respective clubs to report for international duty.

Meanwhile, Bruno Guimaraes, the midfielder for Newcastle, celebrated his 26th birthday on Thursday. Prior to their 2-1 World Cup qualifying defeat against Colombia, Bruno’s teammates presented him with a birthday cake.

The convergence of players from Arsenal and Newcastle on the international stage showcases the camaraderie and unity that can exist beyond club rivalries during national team duties.

A still from the scene was shared on social media, and it showed Magalhaes looking sternly on sat next to Martinelli while Bruno received his cake sitting with Joelinton.

Arsenal supporters were quick to make fun of the scene as the image spread on social media.

“If looks could kill,” responded one supporter to seeing the image.

Along with a series of laughing emojis, another commented: “Proper Gunner. That’s my CB.”

“He’s actually still thinking about the two hands that was in his back,” joked a fellow fan.
