According to CalcioMercato, the England international wants to stay in his homeland despite Juventus’ considerable interest in signing Phillips in the new year.

Manchester City midfielder Raheem Sterling is largely anticipated to depart the current English champions in January, with Juventus considered the favorite to sign the 27-year-old.

However, a Premier League return now appears more realistic for Phillips, which will be a significant boost for Liverpool moving into the winter window.

Phillips, described as a ‘phenomenal’ talent by Kieran Trippier, checks all the boxes for what Liverpool are seeking for in a January midfield addition.
