ο»ΏRegarding his trip to Argentina, where he spent time with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce has been candid.
During the NFL bye week, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs went to South America. When the Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins in Week 9 of the regular season, on November 5, Kelce last played on the field in Germany.
After the Chiefs’ bye and their journey to Frankfurt, Kelce seized the chance to fly to Argentina, where Swift was starting her second leg of her “Eras Tour” of gigs. For the past few months, there have been rumors that Kelce and the well-known pop diva are dating.
Swift was supposed to perform three times in Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate. Scott, Swift’s father, and Kelce shared a VIP tent at the side of the stage for the Saturday night concert in the capital of Argentina.
Last Friday, Nov. 10, the Chiefs tight end took a flight to Argentina with the goal of seeing Swift play two of her three scheduled shows. But the Friday concert was canceled because of the bad weather in Buenos Aires.
Speaking on the “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, the Chiefs star discussed the reasons behind the concert’s postponement and disclosed that he and Swift had supper at their hotel that evening.
“I got down there hoping I was going to see Taylor’s second show [on Friday] but it got rained out,” stated Kelce. Since the entire stage is an LED screen, lightning and electronics don’t work well together, nor does water, thunder, and lightning cause the event to be postponed.
“Swift wasn’t too pleased about it since she kind of takes pleasure in her ability to perform outside in inclement weather and other conditions. However, you have to take necessary action when it puts her, her crew, and everyone else in the stadium in danger.”
Kelce went on, “We had some delicious food. It was actually the only night we got to go out to dinner because it was the first night I was there and the concert had been rescheduled.

“We didn’t want to go out and party all around the city as if the show didn’t matter to us. We made sure to remain at the hotel and avoid interacting with anyone.”
Swift appeared to be referencing Kelce when she altered the words of her song “Karma” during the performance. Kelce acknowledged that he was caught off guard by the lyrics’ shift.
“Well I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me,” stated Kelce. “I was like, ‘Oh, she really just said that’.”
Kelce continued, expressing his admiration for Swift’s Buenos Aires performance. The 12-time Grammy Award winner and the spectators at the 84,500-seat stadium were both commended by the Chiefs star.
“For those of you who haven’t seen all the videos of me on your TikTok or Instagram feed, I was enjoying myself down there in Buenos Aires,” stated Kelce. Knowing that I had a little bit more to savor made the show much more exciting.

Yes, Taylor really killed it. She was deadly. She appeared to be enjoying herself outside as well.”
“The stadium was unbelievable,” Kelce continued. There would be a large section of high risers at the extremities of the field. Instead of having chairs, everyone knew going into the event that they would be standing in that section because they were all standing.”
“It’s incredible how many sold-out performances she has and the locations she always visits. I was astounded; the audience was also electrifying. Congratulations to those of you who attended those performances! Taylor had stated that it was one of her favorite venues, so you guys really won her over. Man, it was enjoyable.”
