Al Nassr, who was four points behind Al Hilal going into the game on Friday night, was trying to get a vital win to close the gap on the league leader. Sami Al Naji gave the side an early lead in the 13th minute, and Ronaldo increased it to 2-0 in the 77th.

The possibility of Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Inter Miami playing a friendly match in 2024 and possibly rekindling their rivalry with Lionel Messi raised expectations earlier in the week.
