Cristiano Ronaldo once again showed off his talent in the Saudi Professional League match between Al Nassr and Al Akhdoud, scoring a spectacular long-range goal.
Al Nassr, who was four points behind Al Hilal going into the game on Friday night, was trying to get a vital win to close the gap on the league leader. Sami Al Naji gave the side an early lead in the 13th minute, and Ronaldo increased it to 2-0 in the 77th.
But the star of the show was Ronaldo’s second goal. The Portuguese star showed amazing technique three minutes after the first goal when he controlled a lob from approximately 30 meters away, giving the goalkeeper no chance.
With this goal, Ronaldo’s already excellent record of 18 goals and 9 assists in 18 games for Al Nassr across all competitions was increased.
The possibility of Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Inter Miami playing a friendly match in 2024 and possibly rekindling their rivalry with Lionel Messi raised expectations earlier in the week. Inter Miami, however, promptly refuted these rumors and made it clear that no such preseason tour had been confirmed.
Even though supporters will have to wait for the Ronaldo-Messi match, Ronaldo’s outstanding Saudi Arabian performances have captured the attention of football fans worldwide.
