In response to her lover Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift becomes the first tight end to amass 11,000 yards in the fastest time.
Following a significant turning point in his NFL career, Taylor Swift is expressing her support for Travis Kelce.
The pop singer “liked” a Sunday Instagram post from the Kansas City Chiefs regarding her fiancé breaking the record for the fastest tight end to achieve 11,000 receiving yards.
In the Chiefs’ 31-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in the second quarter, Kelce, 34, accomplished the accomplishment with a 27-yard reception. This was his 154th league game.
Tony Gonzalez, a Hall of Famer, had previously held the record with 191 games.
Just three other tight ends in the NFL have gained more receiving yards than Kelce, who currently holds the record with 11,000 yards: Gonzalez (15,127), Jason Witten (13,036), and Antonio Gates (11,841).
Swifties flooded the comments section of the Chiefs’ post to celebrate Kelce’s latest accomplishment — and his girlfriend’s subtle support, which came after her concert in São Paolo, Brazil.
“Taylor, we see you,” another commented, quoting a lyric Swift changed at a show that her beau attended in Buenos Aires, Argentina, earlier this month.
“The legendary Taylor Swift has liked this post,” a third Instagram user observed.
“YAYYYY @taylorswift BOYFRIEND! ,” one more added.
News broke in September that Kelce and Swift, 33, were “hanging out,” and they hard-launched their relationship last month by holding hands on a date in New York City.
Since then, the Grammy winner has gone to a number of the athlete’s games, where she has met Ed and Donna Kelce, his parents.
Ahead of Thanksgiving, while on her Eras Tour in Argentina, Taylor introduced Travis to her father, Scott Swift.
“I might have persuaded him [to be a Chiefs fan] at dinner the night before [the concert],” the NFL star recently shared on his “New Heights” podcast, calling Scott “a huge football guy.”
