Arsenal line-up against Luton Town: Zinchenko benched, Nketiah in starting XI, and Tomiyasu’s availability determined

Arsenal faces a busy schedule, with their upcoming match against Luton Town being the first of three consecutive away fixtures. As December proves to be a challenging month, Mikel Arteta acknowledges the need to utilize his first-team squad and rotate players when necessary. However, he faces limited options due to the injuries of Jurrien Timber, Fabio Vieira, Thomas Partey, and Emile Smith Rowe. Additionally, a decision on Takehiro Tomiyasu’s availability will be made following an ιnjury scаre.

With Manchester City being held to a draw in their recent match, Arsenal has the opportunity to secure a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table if they defeat Luton. Nonetheless, Arteta understands the importance of fielding a strong lineup to avoid an unexpecteԀ outcome against the newly promoted side.

According to Kaya Kaynak, the Chief Arsenal Writer, he would opt for David Raya in goal instead of Aaron Ramsdale, with Ben White alongside William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in defense. Jakub Kiwior would be brought in as the left-back to avoid any risks with Oleksandr Zinchenko. Declan Rice is a guaranteed pick in the midfield, with Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz completing the midfield trio. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are chosen as the wingers, while Eddie Nketiah is preferred over Gabriel Jesus as the central striker.

On the other hand, Tashan Deniran-Alleyne, suggests that Zinchenko should retain his place in the team despite his recent mistake. He believes it would be harsh to drop the Ukrainian international, especially in a match where Arsenal is expected to dominate possession. Deniran-Alleyne would rest Tomiyasu and have Ben White fill in at right-back, alongside Saliba and Gabriel in defense. Leandro Trossard would likely occupy the left-sided midfield role, while Eddie Nketiah would lead the line, providing Gabriel Jesus with a well-deserved rest.
