Sylvester Stallone disclosed that he almost ended his 25-year marriage due to a “tragic mistake.”
“It’s a terrible error that I won’t make again, but occasionally I prioritize work over my family,” the “Rocky” actor said in a recent interview that The Hollywood Reporter published on Monday.
After more than 20 years of marriage, Jennifer Flavin, Stallone’s wife, filed for divorce from the actor in August. The breakup initially appeared contentious since Stallone, 76, had covered up his tattoos honoring the former model.

“I have the highest respect for Jennifer. I will always love her,” he said at the time.
“She’s an amazing woman. She’s the nicest human being I’ve ever met.”

Just as quickly as Flavin, 54, wanted to get divorced, she and Stallone reconciled and officially had the Florida case dismissed.
“Hopefully you’re involved with people who understand the foibles of life and the fragility of it and how rare a real good relationship is,” the actor shared with THR.
