Mountain lovers will love Hotel Villa Honegg’s spectacular position perched above Lake Lucerne. The hike to Känzeli is one that comes highly recommended. From there, you can see the hotel from a different angle and look out over Lake Lucerne towards Weggis. Proceed with your journey to Hammetschwand, a 158.2 meter elevator that gives you the impression of being in space. You get a 180-degree view over Lake Lucerne from this location, which will make you feel like you’re on top of the world.

I found myself taking a lot of deep breathes when I was there, enjoying the fresh mountain air and getting away from the city. It’s a very lovely walk through a peaceful forest on the way back, with the crispest air made even more beautiful by the fall colors.
