Following their “blip,” Sylvester Stallone and his family were present on the red carpet at the New York premiere of his television series “Tulsa King” on Wednesday, including his wife Jennifer Flavin.
Sylvester discussed having the support of his loved ones in an interview with “Extra.” “This is everything,” he said. I’ve overcome every obstacle. I’ve had a lot of luck. I have overcome many obstacles, but I have also overcome my goals and desires. It’s their turn now.
He continued, saying, “I’m going to accept the fact that I won’t be here forever. However, it means you have to take a lot, but it’s worthwhile.
In “Tulsa King,” Stallone plays an elderly virtuoso who has just been released from federal prison.
Stallone said of the part, “This is the one I have been waiting for.” Even Rocky had elements of a mobster and a thug, but he was a nasty one. Though not particularly ferocious, this guy is genuinely good. I had a lot of arguments with people because he was very harsh at first. Why don’t you have him be more of an organizer, a sly person instead of a physical person, I asked? And it appears that the risk paid off.
“I really pull a lot of memories out and try and show the humor, because sometimes life can really be a black comedy, unfortunately,” Sly said, acknowledging that his role was “100%” drawn from his own past. People laugh at that because they say, “That happened to me.” I didn’t hesitate, so it seems like this guy makes small mistakes all the time. He is very conscious of his shortcomings.
To the question of whether that occurs to him, Stallone replied, “Every day.”
Reality TV was next for him and his family. “This is going to shock people,” he jokingly said. “Reality TV: do you require employment or something?” Saying, “No, no, no,” Why not show folks what it’s like right now, rather than when you’re retired or over, since I’m experiencing a rebirth? You’ll realize that it’s the best home film ever.
On November 13, “Tulsa King” will debut onParamount+.
