Cardi B will not face any legal action for tossing her microphone into the audience during her performance in Las Vegas last weekend.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department released the following statement to “Extra”: “This case has been closed as having inadequate evidence after a comprehensive examination and consultation with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. There won’t be any charges brought in this instance.

Cardi B threw her microphone at a concertgoer during her July 29 performance at Drai’s Beachclub after someone in the audience threw a drink at her. It’s unclear if the individual who tossed the drink was also the one hit by the microphone. On Monday, the purported victim submitted a battery report.

The victim claims that on July 29, 2023, she was at a gathering at a house in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. She was injured by something that was hurled over the stage during a concert, Las Vegas police said to “Extra” this week.

The woman who appeared to have thrown her drink at the rapper was led away, and Cardi subsequently released crystal-clear video of the exchange. Despite the interruption, she continued with her act.

In a recent TMZ video, Cardi B and the DJ can be seen pleading with the audience to throw water at her so she can cool down. The fans complied. She was obviously upset about the incident, however it’s unclear at this point if the offending substance was water or anything else.
