With a silk band tightening around her waist, she showed off her black bra beneath the transparent top portion.

Winnie styled her dark hair in a short manner and added a pair of dangling silver earrings from Messika to complete her ensemble.

At the British Fashion Awards in 2023, celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, and Amal Clooney walked the red carpet. 

On Monday night, the event—which was sponsored by the jewelry company Pandora—returned to the venerable Royal Albert Hall in London. 

16 accolades were honored during the event, which was hosted by British presenter Maya Jama and musician Kojey Radical. Over a thousand industry specialists comprise the international judging team that selects the TFA nominations and winners. 

The BFC Foundation, which focuses on education, grant-giving, and business mentorship to support the growth and prosperity of the British fashion industry going forward, uses this event as its primary fundraiser. 

For the first time since the epidemic, the BFC also reinstated certain gender-based design awards, dividing the top British designers into masculine and womenswear categories. 

Prominent members of the industry were honored, including make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury with the Special appreciation Award, Valentino Garavani with the Outstanding Achievement Award, and the late Joe Casely-Hayford with a posthumous special appreciation award.

Sam Smith accepted the Cultural Innovator prize, receiving recognition for his remarkable latex-clad performance at the 2023 Brit Awards, among other viral fashion moments. 

Talking about Sam’s honor “A true cultural innovator who has fearlessly pushed the boundaries of both fashion and entertainment,” according to Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, is Sam.

‘How does fashion make you feel?’ was the question posed by worldwide superstar Usher to the audience of top designers, artists, creatives, and tastemakers as the awards event got underway in style.

Sam Smith, the winner of the Cultural Innovator Award, performed following METTE’s Pandora performance, and Skepta’s DJ set concluded the evening at the afterparty.

The British fashion industry honored Joe Casely-Hayford with a posthumous Special Recognition Award in recognition of his extraordinary achievements to fashion and culture, and paid homage to Dame Vivienne Westwood and her bold approach to design and activism.

A distinctive award created by stylist, art director, and 2022 NEW WAVE: Creative in association with a British glass production firm was given to each winner.
