WWII Air Force Veteran Ms. Ensell Celebrates Remarkable Birthday with Surprise Message from Jason Statham. Ms. Ensell, a former member of the Wоme𝚗’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) from 1941 to 1944, recently marked a significant milestone at Royal Star & Garter – Solihull. The staff organized a delightful surprise for her: a video message from renowned action star Jason Statham.

In the heartfelt birthday message, Statham expresses his gratitude for Ms. Ensell’s admiration while humbly acknowledging that he is an even greater admirer of her. He commends her for her bravery and describes her service during World Wаr II in the Royal Air Force as a true embodiment of heroism. Statham sends her abundant love on her special day.

Recognized for his tough hero roles in tҺrilling action films like the Transporter trilogy, the Fast and the Furious, and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Statham’s movies have been a source of enjoyment for Ms. Ensell from the comfort of her room.

Born into a mining family in Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1921, Ms. Ensell crossed paths with her husband Leslie, an RAF electrician, during her time in the WAAF. They tied the knot in 1943 and later settled in Birmingham, where Joyce worked as a school dinner lady in the 1950s and ’60s.

Alongside the touching birthday message, the staff at Royal Star & Garter arranged for a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Jason Statham to take center stage during the celebration. The festivities included a cake, flowers, and a card from Her Majesty The Queen.

Surrounded by fellow residents, Ms. Ensell savored a slice of cake and a glass of bubbly, expressing her gratitude for the lovely birthday party. She could hardly believe that she had reached the remarkable milestone of 100 years. She extended her heartfelt thanks to everyone at Royal Star & Garter for making her day incredibly joyful.
