A decommissioned Boeing 737 has been converted into a Private Jet Villa – a luxury private villa near Nyang-Nyang beach in Bali, Indonesia.
According to CNN news site, this “airplane villa” belongs to the Boeing 737 series and was previously in the fleet of Mandala Airlines but has stopped operating since 2014.
The plane was bought by Russian businessman Felix Demin in 2021, then converted into a resort villa with 2 master bedrooms and a swimming pool. Currently, Mr. Demin is renting this villa for $7,000/night.
According to the Russian businessman, he initially bought this plane for personal use but quickly realized its potential when he found about 20 similar “airplane villas” in Indonesia.
However, transporting the plane to its current location was not an easy task, a team of engineers had to remove each part and move it to the cliff to reassemble it.
The villa was then named Private Jet Villa by Hanging Gardens by Mr. Demin because it was built in a precarious position, located on a cliff up to 150 m above sea level.
The inside of the plane has been converted into a living room with a bar, bed and sofa. The old airplane windows are kept almost intact so that tenants can see the surrounding sea and mountains.
The cockpit was converted into a large bathroom and kept the front windows for both bathing and enjoying nature.
The plane’s wing is covered with wood, turned into a balcony, and installed with glass barriers so visitors can experience the feeling of floating in mid-air.
Not only has the interior been transformed, the garden around the plane has also been carefully renovated with sun loungers, a luxurious outdoor seating area and even a fire pit.
For those who like to take a dip, this villa also has an infinity pool with views of the Indian Ocean.
