‘Sakht Sar’ Art Exhibition and Gallery by Hamidreza Edrisi and Kolsoum Ali Taleshi

Kolsoum Ali Taleshi: Because exhibitions and galleries are important cultural spaces in society, they should be regarded not only as architectural spaces but also as urban symbols.

“Sakht Sar” is an old name for the city of “Ramsar” in northern Iran, which changed its name over time and was chosen as the title of the collection based on the subject.

This collection serves as a venue for introducing and displaying the culture, art, and history of the city of “Ramsar” for all to remember and not forget, in addition to displaying works of art and cultural and historical objects.

The works on display in “Sakht Sar” are divided into three time periods: past, present, and future, making it easy to see the course of change and evolution of culture, as well as its weaknesses and strengths.

Other “Sakht Sar” spaces include various types of theatre stages, amphitheatres, libraries, very attractive and pleasant spaces for sitting and talking, and various spaces for displaying works.

Furthermore, this architectural marvel blends indigenous elements with contemporary design, demonstrating cultural respect and innovation. Intricate detailing and the thoughtful incorporation of indigenous materials show respect for the past, while sleek lines and innovative structure highlight the brilliance of modern architecture. A peaceful coexistence of the past and present, inviting us to discover the cultural narratives woven into its fabric. The beauty of this collection can be found in every corner.
