Liverpool is currently facing a number of ιnjury concerns ahead of their upcoming match against Burnley. As many as nine players could potentially be sidelined for the game. Among them, Luis Díaz suffered a knee ιnjury and his availability for the match is uncertain. The extent of the ιnjury is being assessed and further updates are awaited. Another player, Diogo Jota, is making progress in his recovery but will not be ready in time for the Burnley game. However, there is optimism that he will return to action soon. Additionally, Ben Doak recently underwent knee surgery and will be out of action for an extended period.

Alexis Mac Allister, who sustained a significant ιnjury during the Sheffield United match, is not expected to make a comeback until 2024. Thiago Alcântara and Stefan Bajčetić are also set to be sidelined until the new year, which will impact Liverpool’s midfield options upon their return.

In terms of defensive players, Andy Robertson is on track to make his comeback in January after recovering from a shoulder ιnjury. On the other hand, Kostas Tsimikas is suspected to have a broken collarbone, which means Joe Gomez will likely fill in at left-back. This situation may also provide an opportunity for Jarell Quansah to receive more playing time. Joël Matip, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, recently underwent ACL surgery, and it remаins uncertain if he will play for Liverpool again.
