Luton had come dangerously close to securing their first Premier League home win when Tahith Chong scored a brilliant goal to put them ahead. However, Diaz paid tribute to his father as he headed home a drаmаtic goal for Liverpool.

 The former Manchester United winger showcased his skill and positioning, capping off a cоunterattack initiated by Ross Barkley. Despite Darwin Nunez hitting the crossbar early on and Luton growing in confidence, Liverpool failed to capitalize on their opportunities. 

Luton goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski deserves praise for his outstanding saves against Nunez and Diogo Jota. Liverpool made efforts to get back into the game but struggled to break through Luton’s strong defense. Ultimately, Diaz’s spectacular header in stoppage time secured the draw for Liverpool. His performance was particularly admirable considering he overcame personal difficulties. The result meant that Liverpool missed the chance to close the gap on Manchester City in the standings.
