As the iconic Predator franchise approaches its 30th anniversary, adidas has unveiled a special edition release called Predstrike. This new drop showcases the latest technical innovations that will shape the future of the Predator line for the next 30 years and revolutionize goalscoring in football.
To meet the demands of the modern game, the Predstrike has undergone several updates from its predecessors. One of its standout features is the Control Frame 2.0 technology, which makes it the lightest Predator ever, weighing just 195g. The boot has moved away from a two-part configuration and now incorporates an external heel counter, working in harmony to minimize heel slip.
The Predstrike boasts an enhanced synthetic material called HybridTouch 2.0, which offers a suede-like feel resembling the adaptability of leather. This material provides a molded fit with cushioning in key contact areas for added comfort and a soft touch on the ball. The boot’s Strikeskin, a trademark of the Predator line, features strategically placed rubber fins in the strike zones, enhancing ball grip for precise shot-making.
Sporting a distinctive bright-orange colorway, the Predstrike makes a bold statement on the pitch, instantly signaling that the wearer is a Predator player. Players have the option to choose from three different Predstrike styles: Elite Primeknit adaptive laced fit, Elite Laceless, or Elite with the Foldover Tongue, an iconic Predator feature.
After making its on-pitch debut with Jude Bellingham last month, the Predstrike will continue to be worn by some of the world’s best footballers, including Gabriel Jesus, Alessia Russo, Julián Álvarez, Kaddidiatu Diani, and Pedri.
