Diop expressed his gratitude towards Mane for the honor he has brought to the region, stating that the decision to nаme the stadium after him is a well-deserved gift. Upon their return from Cameroon, the Senegal national team, led by coach Aliou Cisse, received a warm reception from President Macky Sall at the Presidential Palace. Each player was bestowed with the country’s highest order, making them Grand Officers of the National Order of the Lion. In addition to this prestigious honor, the players and coaching staff were rewarded with a bonus of 50 million franc CFA ($87,412) and a 200 square meter plot of land in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal.
