Martin Odegaard’s strike against Wolves has been shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for December. The goal came in the 13th minute of the game at Emirates Stadium when Bukayo Saka crossed the ball towards the back post.
Oleksandr Zinchenko retrieved the cross and initiated a one-touch passing move with Gabriel Jesus. Zinchenko then cut the ball back to Odegaard, who calmly steered it first-time into the bottom corner of the net.
The goal is one of eight efforts shortlisted for the award. Other contenders include goals by Alexis Mac Allister and Wataro Endo of Liverpool, Danny Welbeck and Purvis Estupinan of Brighton & Hove Albion, James McAtee of Sheffield United, Harry Wilson of Fulham, and Cole Palmer of Chelsea.
The winner of the award will be determined by a combination of supporters’ votes and a panel’s judgment. Voting is open until Monday, January 8. If you want to support Martin Odegaard and help him win the award, you can vote for his goal during this period.
