Jason Statham’s Character in ‘Furious 7’ to Pilot an Exceptional Vehicle

With the release of “Furious 7,” the latest installment in the “Fast and Furious” series, just a few weeks away, the car that the film’s antagonist will be driving has been revealed: a Jaguar. Played by action star Jason Statham, the menacing character Deckard Shaw takes the wheel of a white Jaguar F-Type in the movie.

This choice may not come as a surprise to those who have been following television advertisements over the past year. Jaguar launched its “Good to be bad” marketing campaign, which featured a brilliantly sinister Suρer Bowl ad. The commercial showcased renowned British movie villains such as Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Strong, and Tom Hiddleston, along with shots of the Jaguar F-Type cruising through the streets of London.

The campaign aimed to position Jaguar as a stylish and alluring alternative to the more conventional luxury cars like Mercedes and BMW that dominate the market. And it appears to have been successful, as Jaguar Land Rover experienced its best sales year ever in 2014.

In “Furious 7,” just like the other characters in the franchise, Shaw won’t be limited to just one car. Throughout the film, he will also be seen driving a modified Maserati Ghibli and an Aston Martin Rapide.

Furthermore, Jaguar will make another villainous appearance on the big screen with its stunning C-X75 in the upcoming James Bond film, “Spectre.”

The Jaguar F-Type sports car is highly acclaimed and serves as a worthy successor to the iconic E-Type from the 1970s. With its available 5.0-liter, 550-horsepower, supercharged V8 engine, it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 186 mph.
