Not even Jackie Chan’s kid has avoided fatherly problems.
Despite being the embodiment of sunlight, Chan’s connection with his son Jaycee Chan was remarkably distant. The Rush Hour star used to be cold and aloof toward the 40-year-old singer and actor, refusing to assist him and instead leaving him to fend for himself. The two didn’t even get along at first. As if their relationship hadn’t already been tumultuous enough, Jaycee’s six-month jail sentence in 2014 only made things worse.
At this point in the story, a hero in shining armor appears to help mend the sour cracks in their relationship and turn it into something new and optimistic. And that’s precisely what transpired when Will Smith helped Chan see his mistakes.
In addition to being well-known for his amazing feats and comedic roles, Jackie Chan has enormous popularity due to his utterly carefree outlook on life. However, Chan was everything from laid back when it came to his son; the Vanguard star was anything but that.
There was a time when Chan’s connection with his son Jaycee Chan was especially strained. The latter had frequently been subjected to his father’s disdain and scorn, from taunts and crude remarks to the silent treatment. However, Chan came to understand how cruel he had been to his blood after witnessing Will Smith’s unwavering devotion for his son in the reimagining of The Karate Kid.

At the age of eleven, Jaden Smith, the son of Men in Black actor, participated in the action/drama directed by Harald Zwart. Chan was overcome with emotion after seeing the Oscar-winning actor “helping his son to be in a movie, every day on the set.”
“I ask why I’m being so obstinate. I must assist my son,” he stated to the Associated Press. He even said he would give Jaycee his apology for not paying attention to him when he was younger. “I apologize; I was busy at the time.”
