Regular visitors to the GTspirit home page might recall the previous photos of an Acura NSX concept taken at New York’s Central Park. The images were taken during the filming of the upcoming spring release of the Avengers movie, which opens in 3D on May 4.
In the Marvel Comics Universe movies, Acura serves as the official vehicle of S.H.I.E.L.D., a fictional law enforcement organization. The Avengers maintain that friendship. The concept roadster that is featured in the film is a one-of-a-kind creation that was created specifically for the film and won’t be manufactured.
The all-new Acura NSX Concept, a production-ready variant of the vehicle we spotted Robert Downey Jr. driving in New York City, made its debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
Acura’s innovative Sport Hybrid SH-AWD technology, created by Honda R&D Americas and produced in Ohio, will be a feature of the upcoming NSX. Complete features of the 2012 Stark Industries Super Car include a palm-scan ID steering wheel, an enviro-clone projected hologram of the surrounding area, metal skin and clear coat that are bullet- and foreign element-proof, a self-detonating recon drone, a night-vision HUD windshield, and an 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine powered by palladium that has a titanium-forged block and nitrous fuel-injection system.
