Dwayne Johnson is talking candidly about giving back.
The 49-year-old actor talked further on Thanksgiving about the touching occasion when he gifted Oscar Rodriguez, a former member of the US Navy, his own customized pickup truck.
Rodriguez was “collapsed to the ground as he read a card I wrote to him that said, ‘Thank you for your service, brother and enjoy your new truck,'” Johnson posted a message on Thursday on Instagram.
“I should be giving him my own truck on Thanksgiving, but he deserves so much more. “I always say that being important is nice, but being nice is more important,” he remarked. “And Oscar, exemplifies being nice and kind to his core.”
The actor had previously stated that he intended to perform “something BIG… something MASSIVE… something unforgettable” in addition to showing his new Netflix film Red Notice to fans.

After learning more about each person in the special screening’s audience, the Jungle Cruise actor claimed that Rodriguez’s story had touched him the most. Johnson claimed he knew Rodriguez was the person he wanted to give his sleek black pickup to. Rodriguez is a personal trainer, a leader in his church, a caregiver for his aging mother, and a meal provider for women who are victims of domestic abuse.
The stunning surprise overcame Rodriguez, as shown in an unguarded carousel of images, causing him to slump in emotion next to the truck.
