Now available, DJ Khaled’s new, star-studded album Khaled Khaled is essentially a compilation album with possible songs by some of the biggest names in R&B and rap (plus, on one song, reggae). It has the two Drake songs that were previously released (“Popstar” and “Greece”), it brings longtime rivals Jay-Z and Nas together on “Sorry Not Sorry (Harmonies by the Hive)” (Jay-Z recently put together a Tidal playlist of Nas songs), and it has instantly satisfying songs like “Big Paper” (with Cardi B) and “I Did It” (with Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, DaBaby, and a “Layla” sample).
Other tracks on the album include “Thankful,” a collaboration between Lil Wayne and Jeremih that samples Bobby Bland’s “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City” (the same sample used in Jay-Z’s classic “Heart of the City”). Other songs include “We Going Crazy,” “Let It Go,” “Just Be,” and collaborations with Bryson Tiller, Roddy Ricch, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Puff Daddy, Meek Mill, and Lil Durk. “Where I Come From,” a reggae song featuring Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer, and Barrington Levy, is the album’s closer.
