Hollywood has discovered an odd gang of champions in its never-ending search for bankable action heroes: Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It is indeed still 2017. Yes, what you’re experiencing is dรฉjร  vu.

These three seasoned action stars appear to still be going strong, having been releasing hit punch-em-out tunes since your grandfather first began training weights. According to Deadline, Stallone will act in and helm the military thriller Tough as They Come after the success of Creed, which won him an Oscar nomination. The film will chronicle the amazing true story of US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and wrote the book of the same name about how he survived a quadruple amputation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Van Damme and Lundgren will co-star in the CIA action film Black Water. The story revolves around a deep cover agent (Van Damme) who finds himself in a government black site on a submarine and has to figure out how to get out.

In addition, Lundgren is scheduled to return to action in 2018 with a major part in Aquaman. He may also play his iconic antagonist Ivan Drago in Creed 2.

That’s not all, though.

This is a future addition, but James Cameron’s plan for a new Terminator film has Arnold Schwarzenegger returning. Tim Miller, the filmmaker of Deadpool, will helm the picture, while Linda Hamilton will return. On July 26, 2019, the movie will be released.

UPDATE: It looks like Sylvester Stallone won’t be starring in Expendables 4 anymore. Click this link to find out why. However, he is back with Michael B. Jordan in Creed 2, when he plays the iconic Rocky Balboa.

UPDATE TWO: Actually, it looks like Stallone and the Expendables crew may be returning. Following his initial tease about a potential fourth Expendables film (discussed below in the December 2016 Facebook video), and the subsequent news that Stallone was leaving the franchise over a falling out with the producers, Stallone has again hinted at the possibility of an Expendables film. “Just when you thought it was safe to go outside,” Stallone said in the comments on some of the images he posted to Instagram. They will return! Find out more about Expendables 4’s comeback here.

Following years of speculation, Stallone has virtually stated that Expendables 4 is happening, and he has hinted that Lundgren might accompany him. A portion of the rights had already been sold in Europe, and Stallone mentioned the movie in a Facebook video, announcing that he would soon begin filming the “next Expendables” picture. We’re going to try our hardest, but we’re also working with some pretty positive mindsets. We had some brilliant ideas. Everyone, in my opinion, is expecting something different, and we will satisfy their expectations.

The “different” aspect might be returning to a “R” rating following the third installment’s PG-13 rating and lower box office receipts than the second picture. Although Van Damme’s appearance may be more difficult to predict, Stallone did not disclose the film’s cast. It is expected that Lundgren, who played Gunner Jensen in the first three films, will return to the character.

The kickboxing veteran has some thoughts about how Van Damme’s antagonist Jean Vilain, who was slain in The Expendables 2 but is still considered one of the 25 most physically dominant villains of all time, might make a comeback in the series. Van Damme stated in a 2014 interview with Empire: “Mr. Stallone is a creative man. He might even develop a more compelling character than Jean Vilain’s twin brother, Claude Vilain. Some fans ask me if I think there will be another Vilain, and if so, if it will be a nice or evil character. I would defer to Mr. Stallone’s judgment because I have faith in his creative ability.”
