Jackie Chan, the famous martial artist, has expanded his real estate holdings with a new residence, a lavish apartment in Hangzhou.

Jackie, 68, reportedly made quite an impression when he arrived by helicopter in May to take a look at the opulent One53 hotel and condo complex in the Qiangjiang New Town.

Entering the foyer with a phalanx of security, the amiable celebrity waved and grinned at the fans.

Jackie was there to represent the development, but after seeing it, he made the decision to purchase a 4,305 square foot apartment.

40 million yuan (S$8.1 million) was the price.

Arriving in style

With great excitement, Jackie recently moved into his new apartment after getting the keys to his previous one.

The chairman and the media were there to greet the superstar, and the developers had arranged for a lion dance ensemble to perform.

There are also 18K gold cornices on the ceiling.

It’s reported that the master bedroom is just as magnificent, with opulent accents all throughout.
