Sylvester Stallone struggled to articulate his emotions while discussing the passing of his dear friend, Carl Weathers.

The septuagenarian Rocky actor bid farewell to his co-star Carl, who portrayed Apollo Creed in the Rocky film series. Carl, aged 76, passed suddenly. His family described him as a cherished sibling, parent, grandparent, partner, and companion.

Following numerous celebrities’ expressions of admiration for Carl, Sylvester posted a video on Instagram. In the video, he is positioned at a bar adorned with an abundance of beverage bottles in the background.

Sylvester expressed in the video: “Yesterday, we suffered the loss of an iconic figure.” The day I encountered Carl Weathers was a pivotal moment in my life, leading to a significant and lasting improvement. May you find eternal peace and continue to persevere.

Sylvester displays a surge of emotions in the video, uttering the words: “Greetings, everyone. Today is a profoundly sorrowful day for me. I am experiencing intense emotional distress to the point where I am unable to articulate my feelings. I am attempting to suppress my emotions because Carl Weathers played a crucial role in both my personal life and my achievements.

“I commend and praise him highly for everything he did. When he entered the room and I saw him for the first time, I recognised his exceptional talent, but I didn’t fully grasp the extent of his greatness,” Sly remarked. “I would not have been able to achieve what we did with Rocky without his contribution.” He displayed exceptional brilliance, evident in his voice, physique, strength, and athletic prowess, but most significantly in his heart and soul.

Sly “It’s…it’s a horrible loss and I’m standing here in front of this painting because it was probably the last moment we were ever in the ring together and I’ll never forget it,” and “He was magic and i was so fortunate to be a part of his life. So Apollo, keep punching.”

Carl Weathers, also known for his role in Predator, received a tribute from Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold posted on social media: “Carl Weathers will always be a legend. An extraordinary athlete, a fantastic actor, and a great person.”

Arnold continued: “We couldn’t have made Predator without him,” and “And we certainly wouldn’t have had such a wonderful time making it. Every minute with him – on set and off – was pure joy. He was the type of friend who pushes you to be your best just to keep up with him. I’ll miss him, and my thoughts are with his family.”
