Jurgen Klopp, the outgoing Liverpool manager, may choose to retire to his £3.4 million Majorca mansion after leaving the club at the end of the season. Klopp recently announced his decision to step down from his role at Anfield, citing a lack of energy as his main motivation and stating that he would not manage in England again.
The German coach owns a property in Majorca, which he purchased in 2022 from artist Rolf Knie. Klopp and his wife, Ulla, are currently renovating the 5,000 square meter estate to create an “ecological family paradise.” The couple plans to transform the villa into a low-energy house with interconnected heating and air conditioning systems. They have also enlisted the services of a landscaping company known for designing the gardens of Richard Branson’s ‘Son Bunyola’ hotel.
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson, who also owns a property in the same area, has revealed that Klopp intends to spend part of his sabbatical in his Majorca home. Lawrenson shared that Klopp is having a house built on the island and suggested that he would likely retreat there for a while. He described Klopp’s property as “absolutely fabulous” and “sensational.”
While Klopp’s post-Liverpool plans have not been officially confirmed, it seems that Majorca could be a potential destination for the revered manager as he takes a break from the world of football.
