Mohamed Salah sent Harvey Elliott a lovely message after the Carabao Cup final, according to Liverpool fans. Liverpool won the trophy for the second time in three years thanks to Virgil van Dijk’s 118th-minute header over Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp’s team’s victory was incredible, especially since they had five players under 21 on the pitch at Wembley.

Salah sits with injured teammates Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones at the ground to watch the action. During the trophy lift, Reds fans saw Salah and Elliott have a sweet moment. As the team marched past the Liverpool fans’ section at Wembley, the two players held the trophy.
Elliott then asked Salah to hoist the trophy alone, but the Egyptian replied: “You did it. That’s yours.”
Elliott’s stunning performance at Wembley makes him a doubt for Wednesday’s FA Cup match against Southampton. Klopp worries that he has ‘no notion’ which players will be available.
“I have no idea who can play on Wednesday because we had players on the pitch until the end who had problems,” he remarked after the final.
Harvey and Lucho [Luis Diaz] were told to stay up front and not return. No idea who can play Wednesday.
“Wataru Endo, he walked through the ceremony with the stiffest legs I ever saw.”
