DJ Khaled had to tell his famous friends, Travis Scott and Fat Joe, about his new collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger because he was so excited about it.

Khaled’s new golf-themed Tommy x We The Best line has nine various polo shirts inspired by Tommy Hilfiger’s 1990s styles, which were popularised in Hip Hop by performers including Grand Puba, Snoop Dogg, and Aaliyah.

An advertising for the collection is appropriately complemented by Puba’s lyric on Mary J. Blige’s 1992 hit song “What’s the 411?”, which praises Hilfiger and boasts about “[D]oin’ lovely in all sports/ Even swing the pole at the hole on my golf course.”

Khaled distributed pieces from the collection to some of his colleagues, including Scott, Joe, Ludacris, and Latto, to promote the company.

Joe made the following remark while unfolding the shirts, implying that he had not yet seen the advertisement above: “We gotta get Grand Puba to do the soundtrack or something.”

DJ Khaled credits golf with helping him lose more than 20 pounds.

Ludacris seems to be really enthusiastic about the retro-inspired patterns.

“You, motherfucker!” He said, “Bro, this is some College Park, Banneker High School shit,” referring to his 1995 graduation from the Fulton County institution.

All earnings from the collection, according to DJ Khaled’s Instagram post, will help his We The Best Foundation, which provides music programs, scholarships, and other assistance to impoverished children in Miami.

In addition to his cooperation with Khaled, Tommy Hilfiger has recently been involved in a number of Hip Hop-related ventures.

During New York Fashion Week last September, Quavo and GloRilla were spotted wearing Tommy Hilfiger and Avirex’s new jackets.

According to eyewitness footage, the two looked terrific in the jackets while attending a dinner hosted by Hilfiger and SZA. Glo also donned more Tommy gear beneath the jacket in honour of Aaliyah, which makes sense given that she was employed by the iconic brand earlier this year for a project.
