Oscar 2024: The cast of “Oppenheimer” achieves over 4 Academy Awards so far

Although many categories have not been announced yet, Oppenheimer has already won four major awards.

Best Actor  – Cillian Murphy

Notably, this was Murphy’s inaugural Oscar nomination.

Nolan not only directed the film but also penned the screenplay, while his wife, Emma Thomas, served as the film’s producer. With an impressive 13 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as “the father of the atomic bomb,” “Oppenheimer” received widespread acclaim. Hoyte van Hoytema accepts the award for best cinematography for ‘Oppenheimer.’Adding to its list of accolades, the film “Oppenheimer,” directed by Christopher Nolan, achieved yet another triumph at the 96th Academy Awards by securing the prestigious Best Cinematography award. This honor was bestowed upon Dutch-Swedish cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema for his exceptional work on the film. In his acceptance speech, van Hoytema reflected on the creative challenges faced while capturing the essence of “Oppenheimer,” stating, “It was constantly close-ups, close-ups, close-ups, talking, talking, talking. The challenge was, ‘How the hell do we make this interesting?'”

At the 2024 Academy Awards held on Sunday, March 10, Oppenheimer emerged victorious and claimed the prestigious title of Best Picture. The award was presented by Al Pacino, who appeared slightly disoriented, to the elated producers, cast, and crew, who joyfully made their way to the stage to celebrate this remarkable achievement.
