Emma Stone has just achieved her second Oscar win.

The 35-year-old actress was awarded Best Actress at the 2024 Academy Awards on Sunday. The award was presented by previous winners Michelle Yeoh, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Sally Field, and Jessica Lange.

During her acceptance speech, Stone humorously mentioned her hoarse voice and a wardrobe malfunction. She expressed panic before the event but credited director Yorgos for reminding her that it’s not about her but the collaborative effort of the film’s team.

Stone expressed deep gratitude for every cast and crew member who contributed their love, care, and brilliance to the making of the film. She also thanked her family, including her mother, brother, father, and husband Dave McCary.

The other nominees in the Best Actress category were Annette Bening for “Nyad,” Lily Gladstone for “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Sandra Hüller for “Anatomy of a Fall,” and Carey Mulligan for “Maestro.”

Stone’s portrayal of Bella Baxter in the comedy directed by Yorgos Lanthimos earned her a Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, and BAFTA. This marks her fourth acting recognition at the Oscars, with her previous win for her leading role in “La La Land” in 2016.

Stone has credited her parents’ support as instrumental in her Hollywood career, emphasizing that their support was crucial from a young age. She also expressed love and gratitude for her daughter, who has brought color and joy to her life, quoting a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song “Bigger Than the Whole Sky.”
