Taylor Swift has ten studio albums (which will become eleven on April 19!) and more than enough songs to fill her nearly three-hour “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film.

The film, which was released in the United States and Canada on October 12 and globally on October 13, will arrive on Disney+ on March 14, bringing the record-breaking concert to subscribers’ homes.
While the majority of Swift’s songs from her “Eras Tour” made the cut, TODAY staffers who attended the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on October 11 confirmed that a few songs were initially left off.

 

The video’s at-home release has seen fan-favorite songs added back in, and when it hits Disney+, fans will be able to see “the ENTIRE concert film for the first time ever, beginning to end,” Swift announced on Instagram.

What songs were deleted from the film?
Several songs were removed from the “Eras Tour” film’s set list for its initial theatrical release, including “The Archer,” “No Body, No Crime,” “Cardigan,” and “Wildest Dreams.”

“Long Live,” from the 2010 album “Speak Now,” was not seen throughout the film, but it did play during the credits.

 

Three of those songs were included to an extended version of the film, which was made available for rental on digital platforms in the United States and Canada on Swift’s birthday, December 13.

 

“Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live” will be available to rent on demand,” Swift said on Instagram on November 27.

In addition to an extended version, Swift will release “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” on Disney+ on March 14, which will include the “ENTIRE concert film,” including “Cardigan.”

Are there any surprise songs in the film?
Yes, there are. Throughout her “Eras Tour,” Swift delivered unique surprise songs each night. Surprise songs, often known as the “acoustic set,” take place near the end of each “Eras Tour” event and typically feature an acoustic version of two of Swift’s songs, one on guitar and one on piano. 

During the initial theatre release, two surprise songs emerged in the film, which IMDb states was filmed at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles during Swift’s six-night tour in August. 

The two surprise songs were “Our Song,” a piece from Swift’s 2006 self-titled first studio album, and “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” from her most recent studio album, “Midnights,” which was released in 2022.

The Disney+ release of the “Eras Tour” film will include four additional acoustic tracks. Three scenes from the film have previously been teased: “Maroon,” “Death By A Thousand Cuts,” and “You Are In Love.”
